Unique ideas,made real.

I create original artwork, upcycled pieces, custom props, and carefully finished physical objects using a mix of digital fabrication and hands-on craft.

What I create

Three kinds of work

Custom projects

Bring me an idea.

Start with a description, a sketch, a photograph, a reference image, an existing design, a ready-to-use file, or an object you want transformed. You don't need to know which process it needs — working that out is part of the job.

  1. Share the idea
  2. Define the scope
  3. Build and finish it

How it's made

One studio, many processes

Most pieces pass through several of these before they're finished. A single build might be printed, cut, painted, wired, weathered, and assembled from a mix of new and salvaged parts. Choosing the right combination is part of the work.

  • 3D printing
  • Laser engraving
  • UV printing
  • Painting
  • Weathering & finishing
  • Assembly

About

Built by a maker, not an assembly line.

I'm Andrew. I run A-Z Crafted Layers on my own in Delaware, Ohio, and I like the part of the job where an idea stops being an idea. Art, fabrication, painting, finishing, wiring, and a fair amount of problem-solving — usually all in the same build.

  1. Original work
  2. Made by hand
  3. Finished with care
